Member Testimonials

Tiffani Mitton
Being a member of the BCC means a great deal to me. I feel like I’m part of a larger community, and that it helps me grow professionally and impact my community through its initiatives in ways we previously struggled to break through those barriers. With a common goal, to support families and babies in a way that is greatly missing in our current society.

Haley Olsthoorn
Being a member of the BCC has contributed greatly to my professional development and sense of community. I rely on the BCC for direction in my role and I feel supported in knowing the information I receive is evidence-based. It feels good being a part of such an important primary health care initiative.

Cynthia Mann
Being part of the BCC has allowed to find others with shared passions; it is full of people who care deeply about the well-being of families and the health of the next generation. It has helped me feel a connection to my own values and to a bigger purpose when it comes to feeding babies and supporting parents. I bring a lens of inclusivity, equity, an awareness of the complexity of feeding families, and the need for individualized and comprehensive breast and chest feeding support.

Stephanie Gillespie
Being a member of the BCC has been so encouraging for me in my professional practice and growth, as well as personally in my career. Membership allows for connection with others right across Canada who are also passionate about protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding. The BCC offers regular platforms to learn from one another and share challenges and successes, helping me to expand my vision and providing practical ideas for improvement in my local area.

Being a member of the BCC is both an honour and a responsibility. It means contributing to national efforts that protect, promote, and support breastfeeding for families across the country. I am proud to be part of a collective voice that advocates for equitable access to evidence-based information, culturally safe supports, and stronger systems of care for families.

Natalie Gohl
Being a member of the BCC keeps me in closer connection to other breastfeeding advocates and provides me with opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
